      • POST MARATHON - #1 in the Series of Can I be Meaningful in Bite Sizes..

Ok, since I am having such a hard time staying awake finishing a post, I want to try a little blog mini-marathon. Its not that I INSIST on adding value to this Blog. I really wish I could just promote, pitch, make money, yada yada.. BUT…

I JUST CANT help it. I apologize. I sit down to write something trite and meaningless, and I end up writing some real meaty piece.

I am going to try a little experiment - can I create a quick series of short MEANINGFUL posts, keeping my voice, without having it take a day, and make you wait a week in between each one?

Well if I go on for even ONE MORE SENTENCE here.. then clearly I cant.

Marathon starts now. I hope the Ping Masters on High dont ban my blog..

Seriously how can I have time to blog, when I am too busy spending money. Even the Next Internet Millionaire was ahead of schedule :) .

I am going to go out on a limb here.. but it is my NEW belief that if you have $500 to spend and you know the right resources - in ANY GIVEN WEEK, you (aka NEWBIE or More) could cull ideas, hire / purchase the materials and get something up and going. This is actually a piece of the puzzle that I was always missing. I believed I had to do BIG.. and while it’s true that I am working on BIG to Earn BIG, if you can learn how to earn small, and set it up multiple times, thats a good start! And actually accomplish.

My next post.. ok very very soon.. will share more of what I am buying.. but since I just dumped this on you, I am going to give you an opportunity to check out a NEW report that is lauded as one of the best marketing ebooks around. For more than just it’s content. It’s combined with both 20 ways REAL Marketers earn at least $100 daily, and the creation of the product itself is a testament to the success that you can have as these 20 contributed, packaged, marketed it, and here I am promoting it!

Honestly $3000 per month is not enough for most people to ‘fire their boss’, but with 20 options, something is bound to be eye opening, give you a new perspective, take the idea and put a twist on it, and that’s what this whole education is all about.

So back to my shopping spree - Up until now, I usually would buy something for its value of what it CAN DO. I would be sucked in with the compelling sales copy. Naturally, the items would sit collecting dust on my hard drive. Heck, one of the main reasons items sell so well, is that 20% of the marketers are counting on 80% to do nothing with them!

It’s not like I am new to spending impulsively. As I explained before and will repeat until I can make YOU feel good about it, I invested in an education. SO what if the people were selling a DREAM, and I bought into that. I learned something. everything. I can assure you that my sister in NYU spending $45k per year, forcing my dad to push off retirement, will NOT come out more prepared. I guess it’s an expensive way to make sure she has a social life, since working from home online aint too good for that :) .. (love you Ris!)

This time I have a plan. Its not 100% formed. There are holes. There is flexibility. I havent entirely hit the nail on the head. But when I see something to purchase, I see how can it fits in this puzzle, and simplifies the process, hopefully offering a double advantage of saving money and earning us more. The Internet Marketing world is filled with items created for mass production, and therefore you can pick up an item for $37 that if ordered custom for you could cost in the $100’s if not $1000’s. Not to mention the chance to purchase online money making ideas (like I am promoting here) for anywhere from $7 to $47 which can get addictive, but often opens your eyes up to more possibilities, and increases your knowledge of the market, what is out there, and is a real bargain when you add up the added value you can attach to your resume.

A friend of mine who contributed ONE of these 20 ideas could sell it on it’s own for the price of the book. I loved his idea! Making money online is not all about loans, weight loss, and ebay! You can make money promoting Hanna Montana, and Britney Spears.. Find something for you (or your teenage kids) to do in their spare time to earn some cash. Multiply his idea by 20 and you have what I call a NO Brainer. For those of you who are a bit slow that was a link to check it out. HERE is another one.

      • Tips and Tools to Run a More Efficient, Profitable Business. FREE!! (tx Brad and Russell!)

Posted in Next Internet Millionaire, Online Business, Outsourcing, Things I learned Today, by Andrea Yager

My last post I wrote that Brad Fallon, of Stomping the Search Engines, had spoken on the Next Internet Millionaire Episode six, but I couldnt recall what he said.. yet I continued to go on and on about my plans for reaching my goals of online success. Hello! What Brad said is essentially THE MOST important piece of the puzzle for my new venture.

I understood Brad to be a search engine guy, so was not expecting to hear the following ideas (some verbatim) from him..

If you want to make a lot of money fast - you may be going after a really big hit without even getting in the game.. how do you get there faster? How can you make your business a success? Well by not doing stuff! The less YOU do, the more you will make. . money you can get back - time you can’t. If you are the only person getting things done, a lot less will get done. If you want to learn a business, it’s about leverage.

One of the issues I had with my past J.O.B was the refusal to follow that. To spend more to make more. To be many places in the same time. Even though the company tries to adopt many Rich Schefren business principles and attitudes, if you try to do it all yourself.. it wont get done.

Unless someone can locate an ebook or abridged version, I am on my way to purchase the 4 hour work week by Tim Ferriss, who outsources his life. I realize this is an elitist attitude, since it’s great advice for the people who buy his book, but we can only take advantage of this as long as there are others who dont :) .

Lining up nicely with this is a new free report created by Russell Brunson, called the IM-Myth. Russell implemented
offline marketing into his marketing mix and has tripled his business every year since!

It was literally a 20 minute read, and VERY worthwhile. At first glance I was highly skeptical and not sure I would make the time for it.. why? Apparently, He and I had both purchased the same book by Vince James about how he earned a hundred million in a year. While I found the book overpriced, overwhelming and daunting, Russell was excited and contacted Mr James about putting it into action. Personally I felt that Mr James approach was for those with capital to lose and targeted a very small %age of the society of actual risk takers and doers. The IM-Myth, which I found to be a MUCH BETTER read, simplified it in a way that makes taking online to offline in such a simple, clear, precise way. Now, I too am excited! Russell provides you with examples, necessary resources, and even his staff to help you get it going! Check it out… for Free..

My Toshiba literally just totally DIED on me. My warranty, naturally, ended a month ago. It seems to be a motherboard problem. I am getting 12 flashing lights on the power when I press the on button - nothing else.. sooo sad about this. Just as I was planning my get up and go.. starting Sunday, I now have to find a reliable repairman - no Toshiba authorized service center here.. Thank g-d for the kid’s PC!

      • Oh.My.Word. The Next Internet Millionaire Just MAY be ME!

Posted in Next Internet Millionaire, Online Business, Personal Baby Steps, by Andrea Yager

    • Yes. It has been a few days since my last post. Yes I am way too busy to even give this post the ‘coverage’ it deserves.. Yes, if you are reading this in hopes to find out my review of The Next Internet Millionaire Episode 5, you will be rewarded..

however.. what is the ONE theme that you have picked up from this BLOG??

      CORRECT!

Who will be the ONE to discover ANDREA YAGER??

Well my friends it is time to put the Pedal to the Medal and show what I am made of!

The Summary.. oh we will get into more later:

Lets say that I am a ’start up’. I have an angel investor who is putting a lot of money (for me) in me and investing in ME with hopes that he will have made a wise choice (DUH!) and that he will earn back his investment + profits!

Said otherwise, I was not hired. I am not an employee. I am now the CEO of a new corporation. I selected the name and will have access to other available funds to be able to build my new business venture. The business plan is negotiable, since he is eager, open, and planning on taking my vast IM skills to leverage his current business model etc.. and see what becomes of it.

      So dream come true? Yes!

Imagine someone gave you the funds to fly like a bird and soar? Imagine if someone offered you an equity share ALSO for doing that? Imagine if this person considers the people who clean your house a business expense since they help you be more productive?

So.. if you had to KNOCK SOMEONE’S SOCKS OFF.. and make a BOATLOAD of money in a short period of time, that would continue to build into a greater stream of money,

      What would YOU do?

I will Outsource like crazy.. so let me know if you have any skills to add to the mix and products we can promote!

For those tuning in.. if you scream your head off loud enough, someone will hear. This guy did not approach me through the channels I may have expected.. but once you become accustomed to thinking you are ‘all that’, it rubs off in ways you may not be able to predict or anticipate. TRUST ME on THIS ONE. Be Vocal. Grab a Backbone. And be discovered.

So speaking of people who missed the boat with their chance with me .. The Next Internet Millionaire Episode 5 was definitely the BEST so far. Meaning I think they nailed it this time for several reasons:

      1) The immunity challenge allowed us to see some people shine. Not only did Nico’s book title shine, but do did his personality! There is a story of a famous Rabbi who went to the doctor with his wife since her foot was hurting, and when the doctor asked what is the matter, the Rabbi replied “Our foot hurts”. Nico Pisani personified that ‘I am not for myself if we am not for each other’, and definitely scored big points with all .. Go NICO :) You better be reading this

      2) Team Challenge - ok, admittedly I was watching at some unG-dly hour and fell asleep during part of the speaker, but I think he is cute (which matters a lot to me since I’m shallow) and we were FINALLY able to see an execution in it’s entirety instead of just getting snippets of what they were trying to present. Except for the logo.. where there really was no competition. As others have mentioned, I too did not know which way Mr Comm would go. Although I was not completely surprised. Some people think he has a thing for Laura, I personally think he has it for Mr. Trippy.

      3) Elimination - as much as I like some of the other contestants that were already knocked off.. they did NOT have their Game On, so each week was sort of them cleaning out the filter to get to the good stuff.. Now each contestant that is knocked off will probably have less and less of a good reason to be eliminated other than being in the wrong seat at the wrong time. I could tell Christine schaap was SHOCKED to be off the show, and sure they found some average reason to sacrifice her, but it was really a waste of time to talk about, since in reality there was no choice. Jaime Luchuck was secure, JC would have ‘no pun intended’ been crucified if he went after Nico, and how could he kick out Laura Martin when their team DID a good job, and she was just allowed back in the game.. and been on the line so many times.. so process of elimination. The logic will probably continue as such, with rising tensions, and more nitpicking backstabbing nonsense to make it make sense until the last is standing..

I dont know if you can tell but the only TV (via DVD on laptop) I have watched in the last several years has been a few seasons of 24, and the only Reality TV I have seen is a few episodes.. not seasons.. episodes of one American Idol, CharacterRoadTrip (who wouldnt watch those adorable twins :) ) and when I was visiting the states I watched a few episodes of ‘would my mom let me date you’ in the middle of the night. Love trashy US TV!! oh I take that back.. I have been forced to sit through a few episodes of Pimp my Ride and I cry every time. It’s really a GOOD show!

      • How do YOU Make Your Money?

Posted in Idea of the WEEK, Online Business, Personal Baby Steps, Things I learned Today, by Andrea Yager

Recently I was so overwhelmed that I had a visceral reaction.

What caused me to feel soooo overwhelmed, when I am usually pretty lacking in the emotional department?

      THE POSSIBILITIES AND THE IMPOSSIBILITY!!!

When you see the Web as I do, it is one cash vault after another…. and regardless of which direction you choose, you cant possibly leverage the web to do it ALL..

With so many Web 2.0 Social Networking sites up..

How many of you are taking advantage of them ALL to their fullest possibilities?
How many are even scratching the surface?

So imagine if you were aware of not only the vastness of all the WAYS to promote your ideas, but the IDEAS themselves were in great numbers… Can YOU imagine the feeling???!!

It is IMPOSSIBLE to Hit all the POSSIBILITIES…

Unless you are in a great groove and doing extremely well in one market.. here is a possible solution:

If you have the capital to afford, you can hire several people to each specialize in a different area and hit as many areas as you can. Most people will work for a decent price since they will appreciate the education you are providing - you could possibly even get interns! Then if one area does particularly well, ramp it up a bit, and find which works for you. Now I know this is a focused persons nightmare, but I dont know if it works anymore to JUST be doing one thing or another.

Many potential employers will ask you where do you want to see yourself in 3 or 5 years from now? Yes, we have all answered that question.. but with the fast cash being made on the latest web trends, the ONLY answer will be .. “if done right, whatever terms we make today will seem SO ridiculous in a few years from now”…. and if you are working on the web, whether as an employee, moonlighter, or BOTH, and this is NOT the case for you.. then you will have to live with all the money lost, and all the millionaires that were created while you trudged along slowly.

So what is it YOU do?

*Rat Race worker who moonlights on the web hoping it will take you somewhere
*A WAHM doing some ecommerce site/service in order to be home with your children
*An affiliate marketer with either a list, or PPC arbitrage, etc.
*A niche marketer making money off your niche via affiliate sales, product creation, etc.
*A consultant helping others get started online via specific services - IM in general, copywriting, etc..
*A web person building sites, SEO, what have you
*An adventurous on the fringe player making money with whatever is the latest trend
      *A Resale Rights marketer
*An employee for a marketing company work in or out of an office

      or

      OTHER -

I probably listed more options than there are people reading this blog :) .

      • Comment Spam ENVY - NO MORE!!

I have a confession to make.

Whenever I would read blog post after post about comment spammers, well, I have to admit,

I was a little envious. hmm thats too tame. I was SOOO JEALOUS!!!

Why wasnt I being Spammed!! Is my BLOG NOT WORTHY??

Well those days are OFFICIALLY OVER. Not only has the SPAM completely polluted my blog, it has also kept me from seeing REAL comments/emails from friends, and has completely taken away the pleasure I use to thrive on - that of the little notification at the bottom right of my computer screen when I would receive a new email. Now it’s ALL SPAM!!

So this is what I have to say to YOU:

If you THINK for even one second that I am going to help you by linking to your keywords.. I think I will tease you instead, but placing them HERE without a link. hahahahaha..

of course since 99% are your garden variety pharmaceuticals and female body parts that leaves me with samples including the following

      removing wax from feline fur
      engine mitsubishi mivec picture
      myspace moving picture codes
      automotive electrical supply wiring

Apparently SOMEONE has done their Long Tail Keyword studying and spent a day at Wordtracker finding their High Demand / Low Supply Keywords (recommended to one and all!).

I am officially joining the Wordless Wednesday Cult. I am game for anything not requiring intelligible (or any) conversation.

      I am already failing miserably:

      1) I am talking, big no no, but go ahead and hang out with me and see if you can get me to be quiet. It’s really hard!

      2) I am not taking a nice pic of my kid eating paste, or a deer looking at the sunset. I have ripped off an image I received from those annoying forwards we all complain about, but read anyways. I think its funny.

Why have 5 fingers when you only have 2 buttons on Mouse? Too much technology!

      • Branding, Business, and lessons learned from Next Internet Millionaire Episode 2

Posted in Copywriting, Next Internet Millionaire, Online Business, Outsourcing, by Andrea Yager

The featured coach on the Next Internet Millionaire Episode 2 was Armand Morin. Armand is the head of BigSeminar - an internet marketing networking seminar weekend conference that takes place bi-annually in my good ol sweet hometown of Atlanta GA. What I did not know about Armand - that he is a branding expert.. which I find kinda bizarre since I have been on 100 different lists for years -

      So what did we learn??

      4 things:

      1) No matter how big or small your company/whatever is.. you NEED a Logo - it’s not reserved for the big timers.

      2) Increase your Potential with ‘Obvious Marketing’ - give people that which they came to see - make it clear and obvious what and who you are about through your brand, look and feel. Dont nickel and dime on the face you want to present, since that is probably your best money spent to secure loyalty.

      3) Once you sell them once, you will have a much easier time selling them twice.. but make sure you are poised for that backend pitch/sale.

      4) Domains should have 5 letters or not have 5 letters (didnt hear that part too clearly) and have no dashes. To which I have to say S*#T!!!! I have like 25 sites with dashes in the domains, all purchased after it was suggested TO buy dashes.

      NOT Impressed with:

In the judgement room, Joel Comm is asking most of the contestants who they think should be ’sandboxed’. When he approaches Laura Martin, you can tell she has planned NOT to answer. Joel is visibly annoyed.. and says something like I am going to give you one last chance (or what? you will be sandboxed? Guess what.. you should have held out Laura for your principles, since you were sandboxed anyways) .. he says something about this being the game and “c’mon, this is business”.

Yes. This is the game, but NO.. THIS IS NOT BUSINESS. I hope as heck it isnt!! Business is about honesty and integrity. Business relationships are about serving others. Reality shows are about entertainment and opportunity. This is probably a big reason Jonathan Kraft, who made it clear he lives by these principles in his video, was not selected after the 2nd round.

In Joel’s defense, as we were submitting our 2nd round audition videos, and reading more from online searches about what we could expect if selected, this was the time to come to terms with the nature of this game, and decide ‘can I play or not’? That doesnt mean it is easy.. its just entertainment.

      Non Reality:

Armand, Joel, and any other successful online marketer would OUTSOURCE their work, and not be taking out the scissors and glue. Although I take that back! Joel did outsource it - to the contestants.. but hey Joel.. I can help you outsource for MUCH MUCH CHEAPER ;) ..

Back to Logos/Branding… I didnt really create the Logo for this blog.. It sort of happened in a long boring story. I know I am talking about my assent to earning an online income, becoming an internet millionaire, amongst other how-to’s, product reviews, what have you..

Any suggestions for a more appropriate Banner/Logo?
