I have recently been trying to move my blog away from the personal towards the educational.. ya know real value, blah blah blah
I always have about 10 posts half written that get tossed aside for the next great thought.
However, today, and for the last 5 days I am just going through the motions..
My friends.. I have lost my direction, my purpose, my taste, my drive..
I am a rowboat in the middle of the ocean. I have oars, but I HAVE LOST MY COMPASS…
My business partner, who appeared out of the middle of nowhere, dove in with 2 feet, and said I trust you, I believe in you, You have talent, and this is going to be amazing.. oh and how much do you need to live on until it happens… well he was tragically killed in a car accident outside Los Angeles. He was a 30 yr. old beautiful and generous without limits, father, husband, son, dear friend to many, and a True Rock Star at affiliate marketing.

I never saw ‘The Secret’ .. but read back to my next internet millionaire quest and TELL me if you didnt see it happen. Yes I was too busy working towards it to write as much as I should have (as much as YOU would have like to see rather). This stuff is out of control..
oh, and If you think I am writing about money, just turn around and leave right now… the only money I wanted to earn was to show him gratitude for his faith in me.
I am on my way to the states tonight for 3 weeks. My main consideration to NOT go would be the inevitable absenses from my computer. Just traveling is a day off each way, forget the obligatory Target and Walmart expiditions.. (even internet millionaires shop there). Now I turn on my computer and feel the bile rising in my throat.. yeh TMI.. sorry.
So what now?

I know I promised this video 2 days ago, but 2 things happened:
1) I got tired. Sorry. It happens occassionally. I will try not to let it happen again.
2) I decided last minute to remove all references to a report I was promoting in the VIDEO. Not because I dont find it worthy of promoting, in fact I am.. right HERE and read below.. but I wanted the video to be more timeless and well.. have the potential to promote ME
. However, instead of re-recording, I just took the same footage and chopped it up even more!
As is typical.. just as I am getting ready to do something, someone else comes along with a big bang! Andrew Cavanagh wrote a thread on the Warrior Forum suggesting similar ideas to what I mention in my video. As I suspected would happen, people were like WOW.. meaning the idea never occured to them. I did not actually see the thread in the forum. I think it was removed so he could instead pitch the idea and sell it. I advise you to check out this $19.99 product since unlike many other products where you purchase and dont know what you are getting, he has his original forum post in his sales pitch and there are no secrets.
What you are getting in this report (< -- link) are tips to approach businesses, lingo with with to approach them, how to build up referrals (which it really is all about), services to offer, prices to charge, outsourcing suggestions, and some basic SEO practices.. Basically helps you fill in the holes. Not to hype it up, but his price will only remain for a while, since that is the rules of this forum! Be expected for a serious hike in the next few days.
By the way I am quite serious about what I wrote in the video. If you go out and get the clients, I will take half (well assuming you charge them enough!), and show you how to get it done. It wont take long for you to cut out the middle man, and do it for yourself! So go ahead and click contact!

I have been trying to add real content and give to YOU what you want. The problem is that YOU are not joining the conversation here. Occassionally YOU leave a comment, let me know you are interested in what I have to say..
but often.. I am just passing time out loud. Have I failed at grabbing YOUR attention?

I am reflecting.
The whole attraction of Earning an Online income is to be Free from a BOSS and from a J.O.B.. However, picture this scenario:
You wake up, send your children off to school, and go to your 9 to 5 job. You are home by 6 PM and have the night with your family – for yourself! You get holidays off like Thanksgiving!! Regular Paycheck!! Benefits!! Vacation!! Maybe you even make friends and get to listen to the radio and gossip while at work!! Or BETTER YET – you surf the web and learn how to make money online while your BOSS PAYS YOU!! Sweeeet..
The other scenario:
You work from home at your computer. 6 PM comes and goes. Dinner is served, cleared away, your laptop is still running on the end of the table. You get an email notification, so ‘sorry honey’ let me just see who that is.. bedtime stories are read, children in bed… now hurry!! hurry! back to the computer
AH.. yes. now that I have worked all day, and the children are asleep. AHH another evening of some alone time with ME and My Computer.
10:30 PM – I WILL NOT BE TOO TIRED. I WILL WORK LONGER. LATER. ALL NIGHT IF I HAVE TO…
CRASH
3:30 AM one eye opens to survey the scene. I have somehow made it 3 feet away to the couch.
I am refreshed. I have had almost 5 hours of sleep! Bathroom, brush my teeth (well sometimes), no need to get in PJ’s since the whole pitch we offer is working at home in our PJ’s!! (added for drama, but when I look back and read this in 30 years I must note for the record that I am always dressed!), and then…back to the computer.
So now when I think THANKSGIVING, I am thinking that with no JOB to not have to go to.. what is there really to be thankful for? Another reason to feel guilty hanging out at the computer and ignoring the family?
Not that we celebrate Thanksgiving where I live. Here we say thanks ALL the time. Before we eat food, after we use the bathroom, before we go to sleep at night, and when we wake up in the morning.
Since this is a time when family gets together and we spread all over the globe, let me bring a piece of my family here:

Where I live, it is not uncommon for someone.. virtually ANYONE.. to ask:
How much do you earn?
What is your rent?
How much did you pay for your apartment?
and the like…
From experience, ahem.. I understand that this is NOT standard practice .. elsewhere.
First of all, one of the most important topics to be educated on, by example, through others experience, is that of MONEY. When you cloak the details in secrecy, you may not be helped or help others. When navigating around the beauracracy that accompanies jobs, maternity leave, landlords, tenants, property tax, cleaning help rates, and on and on.. do you really feel equipped to learn by trial and error?
I am always annoyed when I hear elderly parents say they dont want to ‘interfere’ with the actions of their children. On PURPOSE. That is their way of helping! Isnt one of the MAIN reasons you are at least 20 years older and WISER to allow your children to benefit from your experiences and not stop the ‘parenting’ at 21. Maybe I am just spoiled for having a father that is one of the foremost experts on FINANCE in the WORLD (who will read and say .. honey, you cant use the word foremost in that context or something like that – THANKS DAD – I dont Want to look like a Moron, so keep it coming!) Lets not even START with my MOM and her interference! After all, every blog needs at least ONE regular commentator!!
I recently was talking to a VERY good friend about pay rates and was SHOCKED to learn the discrepancy in what I thought was good pay and what is really good pay.
I also recently mentioned a book promotion (since a friend wrote a chapter and I KNOW he knows his stuff) about 20 ways to earn $100/ day. Before the book was promoted, I believe the question was posed of WOULD that do it for you? $3000/mos is really NOT a lot of money, but to some who have yet to earn .50 cents .. It sounds like a TON…. ok I am wandering..
There is no barometer to measure the salary an at home online marketer, so how do you know what you could earn, whats avg, and so on and so forth if you dont TALK about it!.. So in this world of ONLINE MARKETING where we make friends out of strangers via this forum, that social network, this 30 day challenge, etc.., and our ‘goal’ is one and the same, but so not…. do YOU talk money?
If prodded just a teensy bit, I will divulge all..

Fact: I have been part of a small mastermind group of fellow marketers. Ideas were discussed, shared, and the clause was made very clear “what is said in this room, stays in this room, and BELONGS to those who mention it – not to the group”.
Fact: One of the marketers is someone whom I admire – like a whole lot, feel honored to be able to contact at will, etc. etc.. all good things. I felt lucky to be included!
Fact: About 2 weeks ago, he noncholantly mentioned his intention to market as PLR (public label rights – content you can buy and then put your name on, therefore you can sell larger quantities for more affordable prices..) one of my ‘secret niches’ that I mentioned in our meetings.
Of course I thought he was joking.. and say “ha, good one”
He – “I’m serious”
Me – “what about secret alliance??” (remember I am a big wimp and a little scared of this bloke, so thats about as bold as I was going to get)
He – “OH! You mean it was YOU who came up with the idea – I couldnt remember. Hang on a second”… (I am hanging on in Skype).. “yes, you are right! X (his assistant) remembers it being you.”
Now I am feeling relieved at the close call! Whew! He was about to sell it to the PUBLIC at large – and the Internet Marketers who know what to do with a niche public! So glad we had this conversation and caught it..
Next Day He says:
“So do you want to buy it or shall I sell it as PLR?”
Say WHAT? I mean truth be told, buying the materials helps me get a LOT of steps closer to completing a task.. great – I admit that this is not 100% rotten for me.. but OFFER it to me.. dont talk about PROFITS, and EXPENSES..
YOU MESSED UP But I have to pay for it??
Fact: Repeating my choices if you are following. To either pay TOP DOLLAR and be the exclusive owner, and I mean top dollar since I could have personally outsourced all those pieces and gotten MORE for the money for half price, OR just resign myself to the fact that he already worked hard (poor thing!!) on the topic, and watch him sell it for less than $50 to an open hungry market.
Last I checked… that is called BLACKMAIL.
Of course I had a CHOICE.. he didnt extort the money from me, but well.. here is a quote from a good friend of mine about the subject:
“I think everyone has an A/B switch. That defy’s the purpose of a mastermind. I am a firm believer in disclosure forms to help people remember their rightful obligation when they have convenient moments to forget.”
The bizarre part is that He had been SO nice to me, offering me ‘freebies’, advice (in his cryptic style), etc.. but when he didnt offer to scrap the product or to have me buy it at cost.. I was really floored. About a week later, I thought we were coming to a head when he asked me what I really wanted (prior to this convo I was delaying an answer hoping he would come around). I came clean and told him that I wanted to pay half his asking price.
When he responded “but then I would not make any profit”, thats when I realized it was a lost cause. In fact when I was finally paying, he had quoted me 2 prices – one $25 less than the other, and I went ahead and paid him the the higher quote – clearly he needs the money. (even though in that same conversation he mentioned he was making 5 figures a month)
Listen.. if you are all about money today and not thinking about the long term benefits of having someone local be on YOUR side, and a potential JV, or just general good contact, ESPECIALLY when you know that this particular woman has just had a change in fortune and is definitely ‘ON THE MAP’, and that you screwed up… well then my friend, I can see no reason to trust you and work with you again. I hope the couple of dollars earned from this deal was worth it.
Btw just feel like saying this now – my ‘angel’ told me that you never want to go to a PPC affiliate convention, since everyone there acts like total morons.. they figure the dumber you come across the more likely you will be able to convince someone to give you their keywords and then you can go home and steal their campaign. Instead of a marketing group where sharing is power, here being an idiot is the secret to success.
Maybe this post is pointless and makes me sound a lot more ‘emotional’ than I really am lol and maybe I dont care that much about it really.. but maybe thats a problem too.

Here is a quick overview of whats going on, and will try to build a better picture soon.
At Rent A Coder I have a project in the works which includes the graphics work for 4 websites + I am nearing decision on a 2nd open project bid for product review writing. We did find some local talent to help with editing materials but no one here really grasps marketing on the web, so outsourced!
Some ‘smaller time’ automatic revenue systems we are working on has encouraged me to make some purchases to really get into the nitty gritty of mastering a niche without both being an expert or devoting full time to it. One such product is how to create a product which feeds to a desperate market, and since we have 2 such niches, I made the plunge. Check it out. It didnt hurt that this ebook was recommended by some of the best in the biz! My initial findings is that there is desperate and then there is desparate – and can you compare someone who cant get a checking account open to someone who is suffering from a medical condition?? She is convinced yes.
Our ‘Medium size’ ventures are not far off from our smaller ones, except that they are catering to much bigger markets, offer much more combination of IM skills to include data acquisition + upsells + backend sales + blogging + oh yeh – SEO and Traffic! We will get to this… when it is not 3 am and I have to be with my daughter at the hospital in 5 hours from now
‘Larger’ ventures? My angel is a lead genius, and with the launch of Lead Supreme, I am having a hard time containing myself. Lead Supreme is a heavy duty lead generation software that basically offers landing pages that pre populate the fields and based on demographics, and other behavioural stuff, will offer the ‘lead’ relevant offers. You create the relationship with the companies that feed the offers, you keep the lead, and if you know what you are doing.. Ka Ching! I would say that most people convinced to buy along the regular IM style launches and pitches will be waking up not long from now $4500 poorer and wondering what oh what went wrong. In the wrong hands.. this is just a HUGE waste of money. However, imagine if you know a thing or two about leads, and you know a lot more about CPA (cost per action) companies, and you just happen to know a SEO genius and a PPC expert.. well well.. then I am not the one to decide, but it could just be..
Not counting on Lead Supreme, my ‘larger’ venture is something I am not going to get into too much now, however JUST as I was fretting over a lot of the details, the hows… the tools to what I had in mind literally appeared in my inbox and cost $97. If I understood correctly what they are offering and I can see how it lines up with what I am imagining, then we just may be on to something. Ok, when I start editing every other word of writing, it is time to pull the blog – (i left that in since it was a real non thinking typo, but I felt somehow appropo!)
New corporation requires new hosting. Debating between my current host (been satisfied – very good personal response) and giving serious thought towards a friend recommended and best hosting awarded company. This part was delayed since the corporation was just ‘founded’. Tomorrow I decide.
Some other exciting stuff – I am emailing back and forth with Rich Schefrens people – will divulge more on that later!

Ok, since I am having such a hard timestaying awakefinishing a post, I want to try a little blog mini-marathon. Its not that I INSIST on adding value to this Blog. I really wish I could just promote, pitch, make money, yada yada.. BUT…
I JUST CANT help it. I apologize. I sit down to write something trite and meaningless, and I end up writing some real meaty piece.
I am going to try a little experiment – can I create a quick series of short MEANINGFUL posts, keeping my voice, without having it take a day, and make you wait a week in between each one?
Well if I go on for even ONE MORE SENTENCE here.. then clearly I cant.
Marathon starts now. I hope the Ping Masters on High dont ban my blog..

As mentioned, I have just been put in the in the position to leave a position I have held for 7 years. Even if you live a full 120, 7 years is a NICE chunk of time! Even more so when you are also busy making/raising a family, enjoying your youth, trying to save for the future, etc..
As a baseball fan, I find it ironic that this is my 2nd time in row leaving a position after 7 years. My 7th inning Stretch.
7 years is long enough to build relationships, loyalty, and get into a comfortable groove. It has to be meaningful. It just HAS to. Can you imagine if you look back and say “I cant believe I spent 7 years of my life devoted to this x and I am no where to show for it?” Our time is too short.
Other than building relationships with my employer, and others.. how can I look back at these years and attach meaning to them, so they dont just get jumbled up with another experience to move beyond.
In a nutshell, and as usual since I am in a rush, I would say that I gained – MY FUTURE! I had left a desk job to start working from home doing affiliate marketing. Whatever the heck that meant. It was the year 2000! Google didnt even exist.. Yes, I was ‘trained’ to do the simple tasks I had to do, but the rest.. and there is such a lot of rest – came from my interest, and need to devour all on the subject. Even though I was not responsible from my employer to go beyond our original terms, it quickly became evident that there was so much possibility on the web, and I spent my own funds and my own time to build myself an education.
Many IM’ers will tell you about how much they bought, how much money they spent, and how little they have to show for it. You can look at it that way. Or you can say look at how much you KNOW now that you didnt know. Didnt turn it into cash?? Thats unfortunate, but if you put it in perspective, every $67 ebook, every $247 course, every $29.95 membership has contributed to an education that puts you notches ahead of the regular population and how they view the Net. Dont ever forget that! Create a certificate if you must and hang it on your wall. I know I deserve it now.
