I cannot believe I am actually writing that Blog post title.

Where was I when I heard the news?

I was talking to a friend when suddenly twitter started steaming up about it and I was literally watching in real time, (and still am!) how within 20 seconds over 2000+ new tweets had been written about the subject, and over 5000 tweets in a minute. This is more people than I have ever met in my lifetime and this many people were tweeting about his welfare per MINUTE!!

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, one of the heroes of my youth, has left behind his legend.

A future post may be written on the impact he had on MY life, now I just want to quickly write about the impact he should have on YOURS.

Every now and then I speak cliche’s with a younger generation and they will look at me clueless. Kellie Pickler didn’t know that France was a Country, and many Americans cannot name a country that begins with the letter U (hint: USA), but EVERYONE knows who Michael Jackson is.

However, do you know him like I do, or just as the tabloid, perhaps ‘uncomfortable in his own skin’ star he became almost as well known for as his music.

Owning a piece of Michael Jackson music is not only important in order to know who this incredibly talented person was. It is important because the music is sublime. This is not a matter of personal taste, his music is the best selling in all history.

So, make sure you can join in on the conversation and sing along a few lines.

Another Day, Another Launch, Another Long Sales Letter

Perhaps if I were using my Blog as the medium I originally intended, and offered a product review for the new product launched yesterday called sitestealer, … perhaps then I would be a better affiliate marketer!

However, I cannot, in good faith, promote a product where I could not make it through the sales letter to discover what the product is even about.

I do think that I used to read these sales letters from start to finish, so did I get more lazy, did the letters get longer, or do you have another suggestion why I cannot even force myself to read a page, thus preventing me from promoting it??

I wish it would be enough for me to stand behind someone else’s promotion, but I have to tell you that I recently got my hands on a product that everyone was promoting the hell out of and I thought it was.. rubbish. That doesnt sound like a nasty word to me since I am American . I was sincerely SHOCKED that people were standing behind this to the tune of ‘dont expect success if you dont make this purchase’.

This was not intended to be another Guru bash, rather a real concern I have for my future as a copywriter, affiliate marketer, etc.. when I find these sales pages so taxing.

I really want to hear you out since I have completed a product and am missing the dreaded sales page. I was surprised to hear from my Stomper Trial that long sales pages outperform short ones.

What do you think?

First of all… Arent their names just the coolest??

I am relatively new to this blogging thing.. only started posting in earnest since February 07 and probably found my ‘voice’ and established my online personality the last 2 months (& still evolving)..

I understand a main feature to blogging success comes from relationships with other bloggers, and to this I owe a big thanks to George, for mentioning me on his blog numerous times, and exhibiting to me firsthand how to become blogging ‘friends’. He has been a huge catalyst, possibly unbeknownst to him, to my shift in ‘blogging’ gears, and providing me with the self esteem needed to realize that I can someday hope to be part of this elite group of bloggers, where he himself resides..

Why Dawud and Ponn??

After spending a little of my very very limited time surfing around other blogs, mostly within my niche, it does not take long before you land on either of these blogs. In fact, I sometimes feel like a ping pong reading one blog post talking about another blogger, checking out that blogger who sends me to another blogger. I am certain I could repeat this post with numerous names in the title.. but I wasnt on a hunt for the lowest alexa ranking and most readers..

Dawud and Ponn are both representing my online goals..

I want to be recognized as a WAHM blogger who is managing her busy hectic life schedule and able to effectively, and affordably consult small businesses on how to succeed online. Basically a Ponn and Dawud sandwhich..

This is small sampling of what I want to learn from Ponn (who I have noticed appears to be under the weather – here is a shout out to your good HEALTH!! – everybody say AMEN):

How do you:

Nourish your children 3x a day
Nourish your childrens minds
Take care of their other needs
and

how do you MAKE money?? Is it just from your Blog or what?? How did you get started?

Did your blog take you places you didn’t know it would, or did YOU take your blog to those places??

Here is just a taste of what I want to know from Dawud:

How do you:

Create blog posts with so many outgoing links? Do you have a tool that helps with that, or you have to find each site and copy and paste??
Do as you advise and turn your action steps into a realized finished product/experience?
Find your clients?
Have time for your clients, your family, your sanity, your blog, and to still read all those other blogs??

oh and Make money???

I realize I am just a small time fish in an ocean of big time bloggers, but it cant hurt to ask those who you admire how they got to be where they are.. and maybe skip a few stones in the meantime and perhaps.. avoid some glaciers.. I have certainly seen enough of my ventures sink…. so lets get off this deserted island and find the buried treasure.. hahaha ok, taking this analogy way too far

In case you are wondering: I WOULD win the busy contest – I have 4 children, youngest is 7 mos old who nurses all the time and loves to be held ONLY by his Momma! I own a small business, work for someone else, blog, try to make money online yada yada. I dont own a TV, so I am not asking these questions and spending my night watching reality shows (I just try out for them ).

In fact this Post, like my others, took me so long to write due to my many distractions, that according to Rich Schefrens’ new report, .. it cant be as good as it COULD be.

oh well.

The closest to… ANYONE Can DO IT PRODUCT!!

I am very wary of saying ANYONE CAN DO IT.. In fact I just read a long post by a fellow internet marketer that those words are SO unfair. How can you possibly suggest that ANYONE can do something. You can never understand what may cripple someone else into getting something off the ground – whether it be lack of time, money, and / or skills.

However, after reading the following 33 page report… in about 5 minutes, I would say that I have found a product which is the CLOSEST to … an anyone can do it way to make money online.Â AndÂ gain confidence and a name for themselves!! That bonus makes this whole thing soo exciting.

It requires the following:

*Knowledge on a subject -Â most people know A LOT about at least one thing, and then a bunch of random info on everything else

*One page website to promote your product

*If you cant write well, and you want to bring more traffic to your site, it will take some $$ but not much. But you have the benefit of becoming an expert on a subject, which can offer residual income for life!

Product Description: This 33 page hybrid between an eBook and special report teaches you how to create and sell information products. The report is $7 and it encourages you to sell reports for the same amount. The reasoning? $7 is affordable and youâ€™ll have better conversion rates with less returns. Makes sense, huh?

Here are some of the things included:Â This report is well written and contains a lot of information. It will be especially helpful to those who have never created an information product before. It will help you see that you dont have to jump on selling someone else’s product and that you can create your own VOICE on the web, without too much work.

The author explains the benefits of selling information, as well as some common problems â€“ including solutions as to how to solve them. The author goes over his five-step summary of â€œThe $7 Secrets Methodâ€. He also includes free sample scripts you can download and increase your sales.

Thoughts & Criticisms: It is not that I did not benefit from this part of the report, only I cannot see myself offering it elsewhere – he allows affiliates 100% of the commission to sell this $7 report and offers you the script to do the same. The idea is that you will increase your opt-in list and have an army of affiliates doing that work for you for free! However, if this is your flagship product, I would only advice it if having a list is worth losing the $7 (not soo much, when you think about it) or if you are promoting other products /services in the book where you can earn affiliate commissions – as does this author. Although I cant recall being suggested to go elsewhere to make a purchase ?? (that is something that I enjoy in an Ebook – not buy this and then you need to buy MORE)

The authorâ€™s claims of making over $3,000 in 7 days be selling $7 reports seems a little overblown at first. He backs up his statements with screenshots of his paypal account, showing each purchase. And he further backs up his statements by providing a very well written manual.

You may be skeptical. But his method makes sense, and he explains everything in an easy to understand manner. You end up feeling confident and ready to produce your own information product. In fact I know have a few busy beavers working on not one but 4 ideas that I want to corner NOW.. I will let you know how it goes.

Bottom line is this: I found this book worth $7 and the 33 pages seem to fly – making it not seem so complicated to replicate the same process for another niche.
