The search information is fascinating so just watch you don’t get addicted to checking it out! I use Hittail as a way of seeing search hits live - they also provide you with prompts for particular phrases that it’s worth writing about to pick up the ‘long tail’ of visitors. To be honest I’m not entirely sure of the science behind it but it’s a really neat way of reminding yourself what people (real people, not search engines) are looking for and interested in. I find this is great for overcoming bloggers’ block.

Best wishes with your blog

Andrea, you totally rock!

It's kinda crazy what search terms can bring people to your site. I once had a comment about blogging money versus the salary of a McDonald's manager. Next thing I know I have a dozen or so hits from search terms about salaries at McDonald's. Now it's your turn.

How much money does a McDonald's manager make? I have no idea, and neither will the people who come to Andrea's site to find out. What the will find here is much more interesting, however.

MyBlogLog is good, but can I recommend you check out BlogCatalog also? I get three times as much traffic from BlogCatalog, and I think it's a better site.

Hi Andrea, that was a cool idea to make the link to some of your mybloglog faces. I've been a fan of mybloglog since I started blogging - I think it helps to create a 'cafe' feel of a place where people can drop by, have a chat, wave to each other... and it's nice to see who else is around - and to follow their profiles to their own blogs...

It also means that people will see your face on the blogs that you visit - and will click to see who you are and what you're up to.
