You can buy a basic digital camera that has video and use that (like you did and it was great). You can also use Animoto to make really short promo videos too if you want to use on Youtube or something. Just upload pictures and make a quick video. Another option is CamStudio. This is a free tool that lets you talk and record what is showing on your computer. Just show pictures/reviews of a product and talk about it. There are many free easy ways to make videos.
